Lesson 7 was about;

Software: Installations and Copyrights.

  • Installation Basics
  • Uninstalling Software
  • Software Copyrights and Licenses

We have learned about Installation process, these are the steps:
  1. Copy files from distribution disk and paste it on the specific folders on the hard disk or computer itself.
  2. Uncompress  files or expand files if the files is in the compressed format.
  3. Check the computer's resources such as processor speed, RAM cap and HD capacity.
  4. Select the appropriate device drivers, analyze hardware components and peripheral devices.

We have learned about Software Installation as well, most of the time, software is being installed unto the computer with the use of distribution disk, CD or DVD. These are the steps:
  1. Insert the disk, CD or DVD.
  2. Read the license agreement, the long one.
  3. There's a lot of selection on the screen, most of the time there's an instruction, choose the best one that you truly need.
  4. Follow the next instructions, read everything.
  5. If the software includes multiple disks, insert each one in the specified drive when the setup program tells you to do so.

These are the ways on how to un-install the software on your PC or device.

With DOS, we need to delete the software's files.
With Windows and MAC Os, we need to go delete the files from various directories, usually there's an installation process instruction on the manual of the software or you can just go to control panel with Windows.
